Founded in 1886, the Delvee Family Association includes all descendants of Peter Delva (c1745-1803) who settled in Warwick, Massachusetts. We meet yearly in the Delvey Grove on the site of the original Delvee homestead. We are divided into Clans and Tribes.

Lucy Maria (Fuller) Delvee, the wife of Calvin Wilder Delvee was visiting her niece, Louise Maria (Delvy) Hale in 1886, and the conversation got around to the Delvee homestead. It was about to be sold to settle the estate of Calvin. They decided that the families of Calvin and Peter should get together one more time. Soon they changed that to include all available descendants of the first Peter. The first reunion was held on Wednesday, 2 June 1886, and was attended by 126 people. It was such as success, that it was decided to meet each year. By the time of the second reunion, the farm had been sold to Mr. William Shepardson. The Delvee Grove was then purchased from Mr. Shepardson for $60.00. Each year, since 1886, the Delvees have been meeting in the grove.

For years the Delvee Family Association has maintained a small fund for the reunions and for paying the taxes for the Delvee Grove. With the downturn in the economy, and the current low interest rates, there is now a shortage. We are holding an auction at each reunion to help. We are also in need to replace tables and repair the roof. If you would like to help build this fund up, please send any donations to: Patricia Buck 567 Pleasant St., Athol, MA 01331

Please make the checks out to Peter Delvee Family Fund instead of the Delvee Family Association.

Annual Delvee Reunion

This year we are planning on two reunions. The first is an in-person reunion in the Delvee Grove with safety guidelines currently in effect by the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, and the second via ZOOM.

1. The in-person Reunion will be on June 27th in the Delvee Grove. We have decided to make changes to the protocol that was previously posted for the upcoming Delvee Reunion, to be in line with the state's guidelines. Non-vaccinated members are encouraged to wear masks, but it is not mandatory. What is mandatory is that everyone has a good time. Please be considerate of other family members. We shouldn't have to say it as you know the drill by now, if you are not feeling well, don't come. But we really want to see everyone there. And the food will be as it always has been; a covered dish family-style affair.

2. On July 11th at 1 PM EDT, we will hold a virtual reunion via ZOOM. Once that meeting is finalized, the contact information will be emailed out, and also posted on FaceBook. Please do share that ZOOM information with the rest of our large family.
